Naturally there’s a bit more to it than just this, but if you place these 2 goals at the top of your list before you get to work every day then your on your way. Sounds simple right: Now just take a few minutes and think, what methods are you going to use to accomplish this.

There has been a lot and still is a lot of emphasis being focused on the 3 foot rule where people are saying that making a list of friends and family, placing flyers on windscreens in parking lots, trying to recruit anyone that comes within 3ft or less of you; spending hrs on the phone cold calling people and holding meetings at home and in hotels all over the country is simply not the way to do business these days.

Don’t try using adwords or PPC without first getting educated in all the pitfalls and traps that will drain your PPC budget quicker than your lawn grows in the tropical Queensland summer, if you dont fully comprehend adwords. My first few months in PPC equaled thousands of dollars of crazy wasted money with my leads costing way more than I was making, because I didnt understand adwords and the penalities that were costing me heaps driving my bid prices up. I finally came to my senses and invested in training from the experts. I kept thinking that tomorrow would be different but tomorrow would come and go and the results would remain the same.

My Advice: You Absolutely Positively Have To Understand Adwords Before You Dive In And Throw A Single Penny At It.

As you continue to dig around the internet looking for ways to (Retail & Recruit) It’s likely that you will come across some people that recommend buying lists. When you come across these people there are certain steps that you will need to take (BIG FAST ONES) Been there done that: TURN & RUN OK. I’ll be truthful with you here, I had been warned about these lists but I still had a go at them against my better judgment. The warnings I had received were absolutely true.

Then you may come across sites that offer you free advertising where you build credits by viewing other people’s offers and Business Opportunities. Can you guess: Yep! Been there done that too.
Even though I did get some leads this way the quality wasn’t very high and I promptly came to realize that you would spend a lot of precious time on these sites either going through and having the page open for the required amount of time then moving as quickly as possible to the next to build your credits up so that you could continue to advertise your opportunity. Then if something did catch your eye it wouldn’t be long before something else turned up that caught your attention. Do you see how this goes: Way too much stuff going through your head and the clock continues ticking away as your (Recruit & Retail) time vanishes for another day.

Do you recon the other guys using this means are that much different? Of course you could pay to advertise on these sites and then you save time because you don’t have to go and open other ads to build your credits, but : do you honestly think the majority of people doing this are really looking for a business opportunity or just trying to advertise their own? There are so many better ways.

I was looking for the magic bullett and trying all sorts of tactics to get people to see what I had to offer and I was missing one of the most important pieces of the puzzle while I ran in circles. It’s a really big piece of the puzzle I call the Fundamental Centerpiece and it belongs right near the heart of everything. Visualize a puzzle where YOU have to make each piece as you go, you can’t start at a corner and build from here because the only portion YOU have is YOU, so what is the next piece.

I’m not trying to take credit for coming up with this on my own, remember I did spend over $20K on schooling but during all that training I had been overlooking the one critical factor that would make all the difference in my Network Marketing & MLM success. (It was Fundamentals) You might say; I was revving the engine but going nowhere because I hadn’t selected a gear yet.

In order to get sales you need traffic; in order to get traffic you need exposure; to get exposure you need to spend money on advertising right? : (Wrong!)

Let’s be honest; we all want to be wealthy. Wealth, whether it is livestock, buildings, gold or cash, gives us a lot of what we want out of life. Although wealth can also be defined in many other ways, for this brief article, I want to use the normally accepted concept of wealth; money.

There are really only three ways to get money; you can win or inherit it; you can take it by force or coercion; or you can earn it.

By far the most certain, ethical and safe way is to earn it. However, most people who choose this option usually do it by exchanging their time (and effort and skills) for money.

Business owners typically know that this is not the best way to go about earning money. A man (or woman) may start a business and employ people to do the day-to-day chores for him. By doing this he leverages his time by getting paid MORE (by his customers) than his employees cost him.

Most people, however, don’t have the initial money (investment capital) to start a business, so they end up working for somebody else all their lives. There could well be an alternative!

There is some buzz going around the internet at the moment about a company called ‘The Private Millionaire’. At first glance, it appears to be nothing more than another Multi-Level-Marketing system (sometimes called Network Marketing, or Viral Marketing), but I thought I’d investigate a little deeper.

I had a good laugh at the initial web pages that suggest you can make $4 million and retire comfortably very quickly. This, I thought, is going to be a fun read. Let’s face it, most of us have seen similar offers that promise ridiculously high earning potential, and I thought this one would be no different. But I read on just for a chuckle.

On further inspection, this company, based in the U.K., seems to have hit upon a really great concept. This is how it works:

Firstly, the products they are selling are downloadable reports; nothing new there. But the way they market these reports is extremely clever.

The potential customer is taken to their initial page which very briefly explains that there are four downloadable reports, all of them about wealth creation. Two of the reports cost $16 each. The first report is free, and then you buy the second report from the person who referred you to the website.

The third report is also free, but then you buy the fourth report from the person who directed you to the website (i.e. the sponsor’s sponsor). Total outlay for all the reports is $32. These are VERY well written reports by the way.

They do this because the person who promoted their company website gets paid this money. See how this is clever? It gets better.

The money goes DIRECTLY to the person who promoted the website; the money NEVER goes to the company the way most Networking Marketing companies operate.

The Private Millionaires system manages this by allowing you to set-up your own PayPal (or SafePay, Or AlertPay) account so that your details are directly linked to each webpage.

Once a person has purchased the second non-free report for $16, they are then walked through a very thorough explanation of how to advertise their own webpage to other people. It gets even better, because they even make having your own web pages easy.

For a one-time fee of $72 (that’s for life!) they will create your web pages for your AND host them on their servers, again, for life! Officially they use a company called Website Developments for hosting, but I suspect this is affiliated with Private Millionaires.

If you have your own website, or you want to host the webpages on your own server, they make it easy for you to do that as well, giving you all the relevant links and technical details you’d require.

Like I said, when I first heard about this, I thought it was just another of those get-rich-quick schemes. However, now that I’ve looked into it a lot deeper, I think it’s really going to fly.

While I don’t think it will actually make anybody a millionaire, with the possible exception of the company owners, I DO believe that it will make whoever joins it a lot more money than the $104 that it costs to join. And I mean a LOT more!

A strong leader attracts like-minded people through their passion and energy. So, before you speak to anyone in your downline, be sure that you are pumped up. You may have to do 20 pushups or blast your favorite song on the stereo, but do whatever it is that gets you excited before you get on that phone!

The second quality shared by great leaders is consistency. People want to join a team where they know there is ongoing support and training when they need it. You have to be consistent with your communications to your team, let them know that you are still there and that you care about them and their growing business. This is where many people in the MLM business make a critical mistake, they may be super motivated in the beginning and communicating on a daily basis with their team, but many people lack the discipline to be consistent through the months and years. You will see the negative effects almost as you start to slack off in this business. Remember, you are the motivator to the team, so if you are unmotivated very few members of your team will productive. Be consistent and it will pay off exponentially.

The third great quality of true leaders is integrity. You have to care more about the team than yourself. For instance, if you are doing some co-op advertising, be sure that you take on the majority of the risk and the minority of the profit. Your team will respect that in you and it will encourage them to do more, to work harder and to pay it forward to their downline. MLM marketing doesn’t have to be a dog eat dog world, it should be a highly ethical environment where the team leader is looking out for the group’s best interests.

So there you have it, we can never eliminate the human factor in any business. The human factor is the most important element to any successful venture. If we practice integrity, consistency and passion in both our personal and professional lives, we will experience success and build stronger, healthier relationships.

17 scams aimed at ebay users

Did you know that there are seventeen scams aimed at ebay users?

I know that from personal experience as I used to sell collectible card games for two years on ebay. The amount of fraud emails I received was astounding, around three to four each day!

The problem with ebay scams is that the ‘enemy’ is all around. Scammers were the easiest to spot, some buyers were trying to trick me, other sellers were trying to harass me but the worst was ebay and their constant changing of the rules. Heck, even Paypal is not your friend when you read the fine print of their contract.

So what is the best way to guard against scams? Knowledge. I do run a website at www.thebestscams.com which goes through the main ebay scams (and a lot of other scams) while James Elliott wrote a book that goes into scams into a lot more detail.

For now lets concentrate on the 17 ebay scams.
First we must look at Phishing emails, this is when people send you emails that seem to come from a legitimate source. In this example a phishing email would seem to come from ebay themselves while it’s actually coming from scammers.
If you click on this email you will be taken to a web site that LOOKS like the real ebay site but it isn’t. The best advice I can give here is DO NOT CLICK on a link in an email, type www.ebay.com into your web browser.

Scammers will try hard to get your account details, especially if you have a score over one hundred. I have seen a scammer make over thirty thousand dollars in one weekend with an ebay account that had over one thousand feedback points on it.

Scams by other ebay buyers include shill bidding, retracted bids, postage cost rip offs, change of address, fake refunds, feedback extortion, early offers, allegations of price fixing and ‘items damaged in the mail’.
I remember the first time I explained ‘feedback extortion’ to a group of people and the two ladies in the group laughed at me, they couldn’t believe that it would actually happen. I said that it’s happened to me twice. They were both about to go on ebay so they did listen to what I had to say.

Scams by other ebay sellers include auction interference, linking to web sites off ebay, fake price guides, trading assistant scams and false allegations.

The current ebay system is so far behind scam reports that if an account has 3 warnings against it then the account is automatically suspended! Sounds good in theory but you must remember that scammers have hundreds of accounts working at any one time, with these they can lodge a ten complaints against a legitimate ebay seller instantly and have them suspended for up to two weeks.
The irony is that the seller, who is now suspended for two weeks, has paid lots of fees to ebay while the scammers never pay fees.

Other scams include fake wire transfers, the Powerseller scam (I fell for this!), second chance offers, drop shippers and distributors.

If you don’t know what any of these scams are then I would advise you to look them up on the Internet (www.thebestscams.com has a full rundown of them all) before you start trading on ebay.
